I got to know you real well while attending the 7am Sunday mass with my mom. You always had something funny to say. When asked how you were doing, you would say, "Better than some, worse than others, what are you going to do". I also enjoyed the first of the month coffee after mass. You were a nice man who loved his family - and you made me laugh! You will be missed.

Dad,I knew this day had to come at some point but this was many years too soon. All of us are greatly saddened by your sudden passing. I used to tell Carol that you and Mom would be here well into your 90's, cracking the same jokes and getting the same reaction - laughter. I remember you holding court on Sundays at dinner and your one-liners that left us and the grandkids rolling in the aisles (which is exactly what you were after because you knew that laughter was great medicine). In fact, they were retelling some of your stories the other day. But what I remember most is that, despite the act you put on about being grumpy and grouchy, you were really a softie who loved his family very, very much and wanted to spend lots of time with them. And vice versa. You see, they all adored you. You touched every one of your children and grandchildren and left a legacy in all of them. I just look at their faces and can see it in them. Each one of them loved you very much and will dearly miss you. With their support, Mom will find the strength to continue on without you by her side. That's what you would want anyway. She knows that you are watching over her and she will always keep you in her heart. And so will the rest of us. With love and deepest respects, Bob.

God has another angel in heaven. I'm sure he is making jokes and has everyone up there laughing. He was a good father and husband, always treasure your memories of him and take care of each other.

Pop, I can't believe you're really gone. I was supposed to see you and grandmom when I came home from work on Sunday. I'm going to miss all of your jokes and sayings so much. Sunday dinners and holidays will never be the same without you at the head of the table cracking jokes on whoever and whatever. You're the one who held our family together and told us to stop fighting all of the time. I wish you didn't have to go so soon because there's so much more of my life that I wanted you to be a part of. I know that you are watching over all of us, especially grandmom. This doesn't seem real to me still; I feel like I am going to go to your house and you'll be sleeping on your chair. I'll never forget anything you taught me, like when you said you got all D's and F's in school and they were good grades because they stood for dandy and fine. Tomorrow and Friday will be one the hardest days of my life. You don't know how much you touched all of our hearts and how sad we are to see you go. I love you so much and I'm going to miss you more than anything<3

Daddy, there are no words to say that can fill this void in my heart. You were a remarkable man, farmer, father and husband. You were the one we could always go to and you would work your magic and make everything ok. Your sense of humor and one liners would leave everyone in your company with a smile on their face. You would electrify a room with your great wit.
There will never be anyone that can take yur place. We will take care of mom and make sure she is alright. And we will keep the family together knowing that you are up in heaven looking down and protecting each and everyone of us. So, until we meet again, I will love and adore you everyday of my life. Love always, Carol

I was lucky enough to meet Uncle Johny, that was all I knew him by, this past summer during blueberry season. I showed up at his farm to fix his packing machine and instantly felt the comfort of home. I was greatly looking forward to coming back "home" this coming blueberry season to listen and learn from a man that had so much to offer. Uncle Johny, you will be greatly missed. Thank you and God be with you and your family.
