Joseph S. Cloyd

Joseph S. Cloyd, age 70 of Folsom, passed away Thursday November 30, 2017 at AtlantiCare in Galloway Twp. Joe was born in in Erie, PA. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Hammonton American Legion Post # 186, Hammonton V.F.W. Post # 1026, DAV Chapter # 66, Civil War Col. Francine Camp # 7. In March 28, 2009 he received the Atlantic County Commander’s Award and the Atlantic County American Legion County Historian award in March 27, 2010. Joe worked for the Hammonton Board of Education, in the maintenance dept. and retired after 13 years of service, he also worked for the Morano Paper Co. in Hammonton, NJ. He is predeceased by his parents Henry Cloyd and Alice Cloyd Priest and his wife Kathryn (nee Pedrick). Surviving are his sisters, Mary (Charles) Carlson of Tampa, FL, and Margie (Jerry) Luthringer of Erie, PA ,and his brothers, Bruce Cloyd (Christa) of Hayesville, KS and Daniel Cloyd (Ann) of Conway, AR and a step-sister, Dawn Ecalono of Belaire, Md.  He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Tuesday from 9:00am – 11:00am with funeral service at 11:00am all at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third Street Hammonton. Burial will be in the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery Rt. 50 Estell Manor, NJ. Donations may be made in memory of Joe to the Hammonton American Legion Post # 186 P.O.
