Lamar B. 'June' Newsome, Jr.

Lamar Newsome, Jr. age 78 of Hammonton, NJ and formerly of Trenton, NJ passed away Tuesday March 3, 2020 at Acuity Specialty Hospital in Atlantic City, NJ. He was born December 28, 1941 to the late Coralene Ayers and Lamar B. Newsome, Sr. He was the 4th born to this union. Lamar was an entrepreneur and operated his own business, corner store for many years. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and see the smile of those around him. He was affectionately known as "June" to his brothers and sisters and although he was much older than his other siblings, he was always a gracious big brother. Lamar leaves to cherish his memory, his nine brothers and sisters, Corey, Daniel (Christine), Ozell, Richard (Patricia), Nathaniel (Evelyn), Ronald (Nicole), Mary (Jeffrey), George (Caroline) and Anthony (Tamara) as well as his cousin Margaret, and many other family members and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents Lamar B. Newsome, Sr. and Coralene (nee Ayers) and siblings, John Lee, Willie Ira, Clarence Newsome, Geneva Benson, Louise Fulmore and Geraldine Newsome Waters. Family and friends are invited to attend his Graveside Services and burial 11:00am Saturday March 7, 2020 at Greenmount Cemetery 124 S. First Rd. Hammonton, NJ.
