Mary Jane Mills

Mary Jane ( nee Noto ) of Tunkhannock formerly of Glen Mills, Pa. and Hammonton, NJ, died on Monday May 30th in the Golden Living Center in Tunkhannock. She was born in Camden, NJ on January 19, 1926 daughter of the late Phillip and Angela Macri Noto. She was a graduate of West Philadelphia High School, a graduate of Temple University where she received a Registered Nursing degree. She continued her education at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Atlantic Richfield Refining as a Medical Lab Technician. Mary Jane was a loving Mother and Grandmother devoted to her children and grandchildren. She was known for her Italian cooking and love for her pets, especially her cats. She loved the weekly visits at her skilled care facilities by the Therapy Dog. She was preceded in death by her first husband of nine years Hugh Lloyd McCarthy , and her second husband of 52 years Leslie A. Mills Sr. and a brother in law Edward Rudin. Surviving are sons Phil and Linda McCarthy of Tunkhannock, Leslie Mills Jr. of Limerick, daughters Robin and Edward Stump of Claymont, Del., Lynda and Walt Barksdale of Chester, Pa. brother Joseph and Betty Noto of Pal Alto Ca., sister Anna Rudin of Sacramento, Ca., 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 7th at 11:00am from the Marinella Funeral Home, 102 N. Third St., Hammonton, NJ. Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of services. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery 124 S. First Rd., Hammonton, NJ. Flowers are welcomed or donations may be made to the ASPCA at www.aspca.org/donate
