Andrew G. Berenato

Andrew G. Berenato, Jr. age 52 of Hammonton, passed away Monday December 26, 2011 at Virtua Hospital in Berlin in the company of his loving family. Andrew lived in Hammonton, his beloved community, throughout his life. He graduated from St. Augustine College Preparatory School in Richland, NJ in 1977, and from Mount St. Mary's College in Emmitsburg, MD, in 1981.
Andrew enjoyed a long and successful career with his family business, M.L. Ruberton Contruction Co. Inc., where he served as president. He also served as a member of many organizations, among them, Hammonton Town Council (1996-1998), the Utility Transportation Contractors' Association (UTCA), the Atlantic County Utilities Authority (ACUA), the Greenmount Cemetery Board of Directors, and other notable positions.
Andrew is predeceased by his father Andrew G. Berenato, Sr. and his brother George. Surviving are his wife Andrea (nee Wingate), sons, Andrew G. III and Alexander, his mother, Dorothy (nee Ruberton), siblings, Elizabeth and Richard, sisters-in-law, Darlene Wingate, and Joanne Bruni, nieces and nephews, Charles, Michael and Lauren Pitale, Salvatore Pirri, Briana and Daria Berenato, Nicolas Bruni, great-niece Gabriella Pirri, and great-nephew Lucas Pitale.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday evening December 29, 2011 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Friday from 9:30am to 11:00am at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish St. Martin de Porres Church S. Egg Harbor Rd and Park Ave. Hammonton. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00am at the Church. Entombment will follow at Greenmount Cemetery, 124 S. First Road, Hammonton, NJ. Arrangements entrusted to the Marinella Funeral Home, 102 N. 3rd St., Hammonton, NJ. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations should be made to the following organizations: National Center for Padre Pio (111 Barto Road, Barto, PA), and St. John of God (1145, Delsea Drive, Westville Grove, NJ, 08093).
