Angelo "Jake" D'Amico age 90 of Hammonton, passed away April 5, 2009 at his residence with his family by his side. Born in Hammonton, he was a resident all his life. He was a veteran of US Army during World War II where he was awarded an American Service Medal, a Good Conduct Medal and a WWII Victory Medal. Jake worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance for 28 years where he was honored for his many achievements. He is predeceased by his parents Fortunato and Josephine and his brothers Louie, William, Anthony, Joseph and Carmen. Surviving is his loving wife of 66 years Evelyn(nee DeStefano), his daughter Jan Damico-Nee and his grandson Robby with whom he loved spending time. A special acknowledgement from the family to a dear friend Dottie Mortellite , his caring physician Dr. Lori Reeves and the nurses and aides from Atlantic Care. Jake will be missed but never forgotten. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Weds. 10:00 am at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third St. Hammonton. Mass of Christian Burial Weds. 12:00 pm at St. Joseph Church Third & French Sts. Hammonton.
