Anna Marie L. Whitmyer

Anna Marie L. Whitmyer (nee Chiumento) age 83 of Folsom, NJ passed away peacefully at her residence with her daughter and loving friends by her side on Thursday, April 3, 2025.

Anna Marie was born in Camden, NJ and grew up in Atco, NJ. She graduated from St. Joseph High School.

She married Theodore Whitmyer of Folsom in 1968 and together they built a life and a business, Jersey Construction Inc. which their daughter oversees today. Anna Marie was a pioneer for women in the construction business and served as President of the company up until her death.

First and foremost, Anna Marie was a family person and her favorite times were when she was surrounded by her loved ones. Her grandson, Jet, was the love of her life.

She is predeceased by her husband Theodore "Ted" Whitmyer, her parents Albert "Herb" and Anna Chiumento (nee DeSorte) and her brother Herby Chiumento.

Anna Marie is survived by her daughter Kristin Whitmyer and her husband Rory O'Connor of Ocean City, NJ and her sister in law Diane Chiumento.

She is the loving grandmother of Joseph "Jet" Thompson and aunt to Denean Chiumento, Danny Chiumento (Chrissy) and Christine Todd (Tony). She will be sadly missed by many great nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday April 10, 2025 from 9:00 -10:30am at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third St. Hammonton, NJ 08037. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish-St. Joseph Church 3rd & French Streets Hammonton, NJ 08037. Burial will follow in St. James Lutheran Cemetery 1341 Mays Landing Rd. Folsom, NJ.
