Anthony " Tony" Amedio, age 93 of Hammonton, passed away Wednesday July 31, 2013 with his loving family by his side. Born in Phila, PA he was a lifelong resident of Hammonton.He attended St. Joseph School and was a member of the track team. Tony served in the U.S. Army during WWII and went on to work as a clothing cutter for several factories in the area. For 25 years you could see Tony safely crossing school children and was honored with the Anthony Amedio Day.
Tony was a member of the Hammonton Senior Citizens and an avid Hammonton High School sports fan. He is predeceased by his wife Grace ( nee Pagano ), parents Thomas and Phyllis Amedio and several brothers and sisters. Surviving are his children Anthony Amedio and his wife Mary Ann of Folsom and Diane Falivene and her husband John of Port Republic. Loving grandfather of Kimberly (John Rutecki ), Anthony Amedio and Lauren Falivene and great grandson John Rutecki. Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Monday 9:30am at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish - St. Joseph Church 3rd & French Streets Hammonton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30am at the Church. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery 124 S. First Rd. Hammonton.
