Anthony J. Umosella age 87 of Hammonton, passed away Friday June 20, 2014 at his residence with his family by his side. Born in Hammonton, he was a resident his entire life and a 1944 graduate of St. Joseph High School. Anthony served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was the recipient of the American Theater Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal, Asiatic Pacific Medal and 1 star Victory Medal. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans. Anthony was the owner/ operator of Hammonton Venetian Blind for over 45 years. Anthony is predeceased by his parents Charles and Josephine Umosella and his siblings Stella Matise, Annie Bilazzo, Helen Geinnotta, Marie Nicastro, Sarah Amari, Mildred Montecalvo, Sr. Concetta Umosella, Josephine Wade, Joseph Umosella and Generose Umoselle. Surviving are his wife Theresa and his children Charles Umosella and his wife Ginger and Diane Bates and her husband Duke. Family and Friends are invited to attend his viewing Sunday Eve 6-8 pm and Monday morning 8:30-9:30am at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. 3rd. St. Hammonton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday 10:00am St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish - St. Joseph Church 3rd & French Streets Hammonton. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery 124 S. First Rd.Hammonton.
