Mortellite, Anthony M. "Boopie" age 81 of Hammonton, passed away Tuesday April 8, 2014 at Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point. Born and raised in Hammonton, he was a 1950 graduate of Hammonton High School. After graduation he served in the US Navy during the Korean War. Boopie owned and operated Buffalo Farms in Hammonton and was a member of the SJ Farm Bureau.
He is predeceased by his parents Carmello "Buffalo Bill" and Anna Mortellite, his brother George Mortellite and his sister Rita Santora. Surviving are his children Bill and his wife Kathy, Anthony and his wife Colleen and Donna all of Hammonton, Rhonda Lukas and her husband Bob of Collegeville Pa. Mother of his children Anna R. Mortellite. Devoted grandfather of Joey, Matthew, Christian, Casey, Paige, Peyton, Kelsey, Jordan, Anthony and Carmello. Sister Angie DiMeglio of Elm and Aunt Mary Kostic of Williamstown. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday 9:30am at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish-St. Joseph Church 3rd & French Sts. Hammonton. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00am at the Church. Burial in Greenmount Cemetery 124 S. First Rd. Hammonton. In Boopie's memory donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
