Athanasios Antonios Mertis

Athanasios Antonios Mertis, age 77 of Vineland, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at his residence. Born in Lavda Greece, he retired from Whitehall Labs in Hammonton. He also worked at W. B. Kessler Clothing Company and UBIA Sportswear in Hammonton and Pan's TV in Vineland. Surviving are his wife Antonia (nee Marketti) 2 sons Antonios Mertis and his wife Madeline of Vineland and Manny Mertis and his wife Gina of Hammonton. Dear brother of George Mertis of Australia, Panagiotis Mertis, Evenia Kalogridis and Toula Zoitou all of Greece. Loving grandfather of Saki,Nia, Manny and Stephen Mertis. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Saturday March 9 from 12pm - 1pm at St. Anthony's Greek Orthodox Church 430 W. Wheat Road Vineland, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1pm at the Church.
Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery 741 East Walnut Rd. Vineland, NJ. Arrangements entrusted to the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. 3rd St. Hammonton.
