Barbara Arkell

Barbara G. Arkell (nee Lamey) of Hammonton passed away peacefully on October 7, 2019. Barbara was born on April 22, 1936 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. After graduating high school, she married her husband Walter and they moved to the United States. Barbara was devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren and the church. She worked in customer service for various companies, helped establish the Cooperative Nursery School of Ridgefield Park New Jersey, and volunteered as a hospice worker in Bergen County, NJ. Barbara is predeceased by her husband Reverend Walter G. Arkell, her father Charles Lamey and her mother Isabel Lamey (nee Parrington). She is survived by her devoted children Heather DelBagno and husband Anthony, Ann Calandriello (husband Robert deceased), Jennifer Arkell and husband Robert, and Jonathan Arkell and wife Luz. Gema will be missed by her adoring grandchildren Jacqueline, Lauren, Courtney, Jessica, Robert Jr., Katherine, Alexandra, Jennifer, Andrew and Matthew. She is also survived by her loving siblings Diane Ogilvie (husband Alan deceased), Douglas Lamey, Brenda Luksis and her husband Maris and many loved ones of the Arkell, Luksis, Ogilvie and Smith families.
Family and friends are invited to attend her service October 12^th at 12:00pm at Greenwich Presbyterian Church 630 Ye Greate Street, Greenwich, NJ 08323 with burial to follow in church cemetery.
