Charles D. Camorata, age 85 of Galloway, passed away Friday, March 16, 2012 at AtlantiCare in Galloway. Born in Winslow, he lived in Hammonton and was the former owner of Camorata's Gulf from 1952 and Camorata's Exxon from 1963 until 1980. Charles also played semi-pro football for the Hammonton Peaches, was a semi-pro bowler and ran the Boardwalk Marathon. Charles is predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Carmela Camorata, sisters Rose Amirato and Nancy D'Amico. Surviving are his wife Alice (nee Johnsen), children Charles A. Camorata and his wife Holly of Orlando, FL. and Diane L. Blackton and her husband Robert of West Chester, PA., sister Dolores Camorata-Doyle of Hammonton, loving grandfather of Ryan and Kristin Camorata. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his visitation Sunday March 18th at 1 p.m., at the Marinella Funeral Home, 102 N. 3rd St., Hammonton.
