Charles "Guggy" Ripa

Charles "Guggy" Ripa age 101 of Hammonton passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday January 30, 2025 with his loving family by his side.

Charles was born and raised in Hammonton to Pasquale & Josephine (nee Pagano) Ripa. As a young boy he always had many jobs to help support his family. As a young adult he worked at Kessler Clothing Factory and then went on to open several Pool Rooms in downtown Hammonton and ending his working career at Wheaton Plastics, in Mays Landing. His family and especially his grandchildren were his number one priority and loved with all his heart. He was one of Hammonton's best dressed men always in his tailor-made suits and alligator shoes, an avid pool player, he loved being outside doing yard work and especially tending to his garden. He enjoyed playing cards with his buddies and driving his pick-up truck around town with his straw hat smoking his cigars. He also enjoyed going out to dinner with his family.

Charles is predeceased by his wife Yvonne (nee Corliss) and his siblings, Saddie, Nuncie, Johnny, Vincent, Marie and Catherine. Charles is survived by his two daughters Rochelle Penza (Chuck Wible) and Robin Ripa (Vic Rovani Jr.) and his grandchildren Louis Penza, Jr. (Rosie Perez) and Morgan Repasy (Matthew) and his Son-in-law, Louis Penza Sr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday, February 7, 2025 from 6-8 p.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home, 102 N. Third St. Hammonton, NJ 08037. A Mass of Christina burial will be celebrated Saturday February 8, 2025 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish St. Joseph Church, 3rd & French Streets Hammonton, NJ. Burial will follow at Greenmount Cemetery, 124 S. First Rd. Hammonton, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charles's memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
