Clifford Samuel Thomas passed away peacefully after a brief illness. He was born on August 21, 1919, and died on May 31, 2010, at the age of 91 yrs.
Cliff was born n Parsons, Penn to a Cherokee Indian mother and a Welsh Banker. He was raised in Sewell New Jersey and enlisted in the Army in 1945. A veteran of WW II he received the Victory Medal of Honor and the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal. Clifford is survived by sons, Robert V. Lippi of Hammonton, Thomas Lowe of Shelton Washington, and a daughter Valerie Schweitzer of Holland, Penn. He is pre-deceased by his sister Irene Maas and a son, Clifford Samuel Thomas Jr. Clifford owned a nursery and loved flowers and plants. He was especially fond of roses. He loved to go deep sea fishing and was an avid angler. He loved Frank Sinatra, the Big Band Sounds and loved music and dancing.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Friday June 4, 2010, 9:00 AM St. Joseph's Church, N. Third St., Hammonton. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM. Burial Eglington Memorial Park, Clarksboro, NJ .
