Debra J. Woodruff

Debra J. Woodruff (Vaccarella), age 67 of Galloway, passed away Tuesday, March 24th, 2020 at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Pomona, NJ. Debra was born in Hammonton and graduated from Hammonton High School in 1970. She graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing and worked as an RN in area hospitals. Debra moved to Colorado with her husband and two children and lived there for 15 years, mov-ing back to NJ to be closer to family. Debra worked at Betty Bacharach Institute for Rehabilita-tion in Pomona until her retirement in 2017. Debra had many interests and hobbies. She loved photography, reading, sewing, writing, going to the beach, traveling and was always ready for an adventure. She was a Girl Scouts volunteer and troop leader in Colorado for many years. Most important to Debra was her family and friends. She helped plan family reunions and contributed to a book about the history of the Vac-carella family. She was always happy to meet a friend or relative for lunch, spending time with the people she loved. She is predeceased by her husband Tom Woodruff and parents John A. "Cookie" and Anne D. Vaccarella (nee LaVacchia). Debra is survived by her daughter Carrie Woodruff and son Tom Woodruff both of Colorado Springs, CO; her brother John A. Vaccarella, Jr. (Louann) and sister Gayle Edwards (Spike); nieces Kelly DeFelice (Sam), Alyson Pandolfini (Darren), and Coralee Dixon (Brian Williams); great nieces and nephew Mia and Lorenzo Pandolfini and Daisy, Virginia and Josephine Wil-liams. Cremation will be private to the family with a memorial service to be held at a later date.
