Billig,
Doris E. age 88 of Gibbstown, passed away Sunday March 5, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family. Doris was born in Phila and graduated from Upper Darby High School. She has lived in Gibbstown since 1962.
Doris is predeceased by her husband Elwood (Woody) Billig, her sister Jane Theilacker and brother William Park. Doris is survived by her children Jeff (Sally) Billig of Gibbstown and Donna (Dennis) Kincaid of Clarksboro. Dear grandmother of Jennifer (Phil) Caiazzo, Todd (Samantha) Billig, Brian (Nikki) Billig and Kyle and Casey Kincaid. Great-grandmother of Philip and Gabrielle Caiazzo, Morgan Billig, 2 week old Jacob Billig and Alyssa Augerinos.
Doris was very active after retiring from the 1st National Bank of Gloucester County as Assistant Manager. She joined the National Park Whitall House Herb Gardeners. Along with other volunteers, she planted and cared for the herbs in the garden and dried many for the Whitall House which were used for decorating for Christmas and many other events. Doris was a member of the Gloucester County Art League and studied with Narcissa Weatherbee for 14 years. She was also a volunteer with the Gloucester County Senior Corps. She was a board member for the Repauno Day Care Center for many years and also the treasurer for the Greenwich Township Senior Citizens. She was a member of the St Clare of Assisi Bible Study Group. She was a seamstress and made many beautiful quilts through the years.
Doris enjoyed reading, baking, painting, gardening, going to yard sales and of course spending time with her family.
Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Weds March 8th at 9:30 am with Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am at St Clare of Assisi Parish St. Michaels Church 313 Memorial Ave Gibbstown. Burial in Eglington Cemetery Clarksboro. Donations may be made to Guardian Angels Regional Catholic School 105 South School St. Gibbstown, NJ 08027 or the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd. Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. Arrangements entrusted to Marinella Funeral Home, Hammonton.
