Dorothy Elvins

Dorothy F. Elvins (nee Reeves) age 95 of Hammonton, NJ passed away Wednesday September 25, 2024 at Cooper University Medical Center in Camden, NJ.

Dorothy was born in Philadelphia, PA and graduated from Lower Camden County Regional High School. She owned and operated the Clothes Pen, a woman's and children's clothing store in Hammonton for several years. Dorothy and her late husband Thomas C. Elvins, III were very active in the Hammonton Independent Fire Co. # 2 where she served as the 1st President of the Ladies Women's Auxiliary and current Treasurer for the Hammonton Senior Citizens Club.

Dorothy is predeceased by her husband Thomas C. Elvins, III, her parents Mayhew and Florence Reeves and her two brothers Robert and Lesley Reeves.

She is survived by her son Thomas C. Elvins, Jr. and his wife Janet and her daughter Bonnie Lou Petruzzo as well as her grandchildren, Joseph, Gina and husband Alex, Thomas and wife Szarka, Nikolas and wife Lidia and great grandchildren Michael, Joseph, Richard, Anthony and Theodore.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Tuesday October 1, 2024 from 9:00am - 11:00am at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third St. Hammonton, NJ 08037. Services will begin at 11am at the Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Greenmount Cemetery, 124 S. First Rd. Hammonton, NJ.
