Edward F. "Reds" age 95 of Folsom, NJ passed away peacefully Monday November 17, 2014 at home with his loving family by his side. Born in Newtonville, NJ, he served as Police Chief for over 25 years and Chief of the Folsom Volunteer Fire Company for 8 years, Reds worked for Suburban Gas delivering propane to customers for more than 40 years. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and Our Lady of Assumption Society. You could find him raking leaves in his yard, fishing, crabbing and watching NASCAR and baseball. Predeceased by his parents Harry and Gertude Eby and son John C. Eby. Surviving is his wife of more than 71years, Helen ( nee Mitchell - Smith ), His children Sandra Mottola ( Lou ), Betty Lou Haines ( Donald ) and Sally
( Joe ) Costa all of Hammonton, NJ, Barbara Costello ( John ) of Linwood, NJ and Edward F. Eby, Jr. of Chesilhurst, NJ. Daughter in Law Karen Eby of Folsom, NJ. 1 sister Marion Adams of Newtonville, NJ. Loving grandfather of 8 and Great Grandfather of 7. Family and Friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday 9:00am - 11:00am at St. James Lutheran Church 1341 Mays Landing Rd. Folsom, NJ. Services will be held at 11:00am. Burial will be at the convienence of the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. 3rd ST. Hammonton, NJ. Donations may be made to St. James Lutheran Church.
