Edward I. Howe, Jr., age 92, of Yardley, PA and formerly of Voorhees, NJ passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022.
Ed was born in Camden, NJ and attended Camden Catholic High School. He served in the United States Navy on the USS Baltimore. He was the owner and operator of Ed Howe’s Sunoco Station on Cooper St. in Camden for over 50 years. Ed had many hobbies including golf, water skiing, and ballroom dancing. He traveled the world with his wife Lucy and was a lover of all animals. Ed was a former New Jersey Golden Gloves Boxing Champion.
Edward is predeceased by his wife Lucy (nee LaVacchia) Howe, his parents Edward I. Sr. and Catherine (nee Standemyer) Howe and his brother Richard Howe.
He is survived by his daughter Cynthia Lothian and her husband Daniel of Wellesley, MA, his grandchildren Blake and Abby Lothian, sister Barbara Bovino (Joseph), many loving nieces and nephews, and his companion Carol Foster.
Family and friends are invited to visitation Saturday, January 14, 2022 from 10:00-11:00am with funeral services at 11:00am all at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N Third St. Hammonton, NJ 08037. Burial will follow in Waterford Memorial Park 629 Pestletown Rd. Waterford, NJ 08089.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Voorhees Animal Orphanage, 419 Cooper St., Voorhees NJ 08043
