Eileen C. Conte

Eileen C. Conte (nee Cammarota) 82 years passed away on March 3, 2025. Beloved wife of Louis J. Conte for 52 years. Eileen was born in South Philadelphia. She attended St. Maria Goretti High School, St. Agnes Hospital School of Nursing, the University of Penn where she earned her BSN, and Temple University where she earned a Master's Degree in Education.

Eileen was Assistant Professor of Nursing at Gloucester County College until she retired in 1997. Eileen dedicated her life to helping others. She was involved in raising funds for many charities, especially Voorhees Pediatrics. She received a commendation from Governor Florio for her charity work.

Eileen was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Dorothy Cammarota; her brother, Dr. Charles Cammarota; and her sister-in-law, Maria Conte-Mason. Eileen is survived by her in-laws, Charles and Gloria Conte, and niece Nicole. She shared a lifetime of joys and sorrows with many friends and relatives, especially her cousin Carol Colombo and her husband Dr. Jack Colombo, as well as Ralph and Marion Condo. She is also survived by her godchildren, Tina Kennedy and Michele Mc Custer, who she viewed as her special angels.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at Christ the Redeemer Parish-Assumption Church 315 Carl Hasselhan Drive, Atco, NJ 08004. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 248 S. First Rd. Hammonton, NJ 08037.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Voorhees Pediatric Patient Charitable Trust Fund at Voorhees Pediatric Facility on 1304 Laurel Oak Road, Voorhees Township NJ 08043.
