Elizabeth Guiffre ( nee Morro ) age 95 - of Hammonton, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012. A longtime resident of Hammonton, she was born in Glassboro and moved to Hammonton in 1951. During World War II, Elizabeth did her part for the war effort working in the oil refineries. In Hammonton, she worked as a seamstress in several clothing factories. She was an active member of St. Joseph's Church and a member of the Altar Rosary Society. Elizabeth was an avid reader and enjoyed baking, gardening, playing pinochle and loved visiting with family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony (Nein) Guiffre. Surviving are her daughters Patricia (Tony) DeStasio of Hammonton, Joanne (Jerry) DeStefano of Verona, and Marie Hunter of Hammonton.
Her brother Joseph Morro of Cape May Court House. Elizabeth is also survived by her grandsons, Anthony (Joyce) DeStasio of Hammonton, Jonathan DeStasio of Hammonton, Jerry DeStefano of Sandy, Utah, John DeStefano of Sandy, Utah, James DeStefano of Verona, James Hunter of Boca Raton, Florida, granddaughter Liz Hunter of Hammonton, and two great-grandchildren, Giavonna and Joseph. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Wednesday morning from 09:00am to 10:30am at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. 3rd St. Hammonton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00am at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish - St. Joseph Church Third St. Hammonton. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery Old Forks Road Hammonton, NJ.
