GIBASE,
Frank "Chick", Jr. age 83 of Hammonton, passed away suddenly Wednesday March 11, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. Chick was born and raised in Hammonton and was a graduate of St. Joseph High School. He later served in the US Air Force. Chick worked for Miles Shoes and opened several new stores for the company on the east coast. Chick was a visionary and entrepreneur owned and operating Gibase Shoes. He created the Village Shops and opened the Donut Factory, Chick's Travel & Tours and Grey Lines Tours.
Chick was a member of Hammonton Chamber of Commerce and the Atlantic County Alliance of Chambers where he served as president for both organizations. He also gave back to the community volunteering for numerous organizations. Chick was a part of the St. Joseph High School Booster Club, St. John Society, Knights of Columbus Pallotti Council #3471. Above everything else, Chick's was a family man. When asked Chick would say his greatest accomplishment was "his wonderful wife and 4 great children" His advice to all was to live life to the fullest saying "This is no dress rehearsal".
He is predeceased by his son Bobby, parents Frank and Susan, brother Anthony and sister Catherine Martinelli. Surviving is his wife of 57 years Christine ( nee Solano), daughter Denise Davis and her husband Glenn of Hammonton, sons Christopher and his wife Francesca of Henderson, NV and Frank and his wife Maria of Vidailia, GA. And his daughter in law Debbie of Covington La. Loving grandfather of twelve and great- grandfather of two.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Sunday Eve. 6:00pm - 9:00pm and Monday morning 9:00am -10:30am at Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. 3rd St. Hammonton. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00am at St. Joseph's Church 3rd & French Sts. Hammonton. Entombment in Greenmount Cemetery 124 S. First Rd. Hammonton.
