Frank Mattia, age 67 of Blue Anchor, NJ passed away quietly after a long battle with Lewy-Body Dementia on Sunday, November 10, 2024.
Frank was a 1976 graduate of Camden County Technical School. He worked as a machinist until 1978 when he decided to switch careers and went to work for Don Horrow's Winslow Dodge. When that business closed, Frank went to work for Winslow Twp. Parks Dept. Ten years later Frank started his own business, FM Auto Service, in 1986. He was able to receive a variance from the township and built a 2-bay garage in his back yard. His customers became like family from their first oil change. From 2005 thru 2009 Frank also worked part-time for Crowley's Logistics at the Petty's Island Barge and from 2001 thru 2011 worked part-time for the Atlantic City Expressway in the Count Room and as a vault collector. Frank's goal was always to provide for his family.
He is predeceased by his parents Frank P and Lena (nee Nastasi) Mattia.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Lora (nee Travia) Mattia, his son Frank J. Mattia (Rachel) and his daughter Elisabeth A. Mattia. Frank is the loving grandfather of Elijah J.
