Gary P. Sakas, age 67 of Haddon Heights, NJ and Ocean City, NJ passed away
suddenly, Friday May 26, 2017 at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ. Gary was born in Valparaiso, IN. His father fought in WWII. He has 3 brothers, David, Jack (Lori) and Bob (Marcie) Sakas. He went to school in Lansing, IL and was a member of the Rag Time Band in High School. Gary graduated from Glassboro State College ( Rowan University ) with a degree in Social Studies. He worked as a teacher, Salesman and Courier. He loved to sing. His favorite songs were from Frank Sinatra. He won the title of Mr. Mature America 2015 in Ocean City, NJ. He will hold the title forever. Surviving are his wife of 42 years Theresa Sakas
( nee Lista ). He was loved by everyone he met. Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Weds. Morning from 9:00am - 11:30am at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. 3rd St. Hammonton, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:00pm St. Mary of Mt. Carmel parish - St. Joseph Church 3rd & French Streets Hammonton, NJ. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 124 S. First Rd. Hammonton, NJ. Donations may be made to Deborah Hospital Foundation 212 Trenton Rd. Browns Mills, NJ 08015 or Hammonton Cancer Foundation. Org. P.O. Box 1066 Hammonton, NJ 08037.
