Gumersindo “Alberto” Amador, age 80 of Hammonton, NJ passed away peacefully Wednesday January 31,2024.
He was born and raised in Camaguey, Cuba before moving to the United States in the 1960’s. Alberto worked for many years at the Sands Casino in Atlantic City as a pit boss where he was beloved by his colleagues. He had a quick wit in humor, cherished time with his family, and had a passion for traveling, fishing, and giving back to the community. Alberto would often say the most powerful word in the English language is “Hi”.
He is predeceased by his father Gumersindo Amador Sr. and grandson Nicholas. Survived by his daughter Patricia Amador and her husband Travis, his brother Emerson Amador, and step-mother Amalia Amador. Loving grandfather of Layla and Lucy.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
