Howard "Champ" Knorr age 89 years of Monroeville passed away Sept. 2, 2010. Born in Monroeville he was a resident all his life. He was a graduate of Glassboro High School. Howard worked at Owen Illinois where he met his wife Emma. He was a self employed truck driver for the Best Block of Camden and employed by JB Kelly.Howard was a member of the Board of Ed at Aura School Elk Twp., Board of Directors at Lake Garrison, Monroeville and First Presbyterian Church of Pitman. He also played shortstop for the Elmer Aces. He loved baseball, was a Phillies fan and loved attending his grandchildrens sporting events. Howard will be remembered for his kindness and sense of humor.
Howard is predeceased by his wife Emma Lentz Knorr and his parents Jacob and Viola Knorr.
Surviving are his daughters Meg and her husband Chuck Unger of Monroeville
Joan and her husband Bob Fisher of Monroeville,
brother of Harold Knorr of Glassboro and Gladys Leatherwood of Mullica Hill
Howard was the proud grandfather of Jeffrey Unger and wife Kristin, Liz Unger, Douglas Fisher, Scott Fisher and Sarah Fisher.
Friends may visit First Presbyterian Church of Pitman Sept. 8th 9-11am , with services at 11 am, luncheon following at church social hall all are welcome, burial at Chickory Chapel, Monroevillle. Arrangements entrusted to Marinella Funeral Home, Hammonton, NJ.
