Jack B. Rehmann, age 76 of Hammonton, NJ passed away Friday October 7, 2011 surrounded by family and friends. Born in Hammonton, he was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Hammonton High School in 1952 and joined the air force until 1956. He retired from Whitehall Laboratories in Hammonton after 30 years. Jack loved his family, Hammonton Blue Devils Athletics, going out to eat and traveling. He played Semi-Pro Football with the Hammonton Peaches and Bakers. If there was a sporting event in Hammonton you could find Jack some where in the crowd. In 1988, he received the highest honor, to have his # 13 retired from baseball, basketball and football and was inducted into the Hammonton High School Athletic Hall of Fame. He was a gold card member of the Sons of Italy Lodge # 1658. Surviving are his wife Barbara (nee Pieri). Daughter Jill Rehmann and her husband Dave Raup of Hammonton, NJ. Loving grandfather of Alyssa, Nicolette and Jordan and his life long companion Jane Spitalny of Lindenwold, NJ and many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by all the "sons" he has mentored over the years. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday 6:00 - 9:00pm and Friday 9:00am- 10:00am at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third St. Hammonton with services held at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Estell Manor, NJ. In lieu of flowers, Jack's wishes are to donate to a Hammonton athletic organization to help promote the values of sports.
