James P. Crescenzo

CRESCENZO,
James P. age 74 of Hammonton, NJ passed away Saturday January 21, 2017 at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Galloway Twp. NJ surrounded by his family. Born and raised in Hammonton, NJ, he graduated from Hammonton High School and attended Goldey-Beacom Business College in Wilmington, Delaware. He worked many years alongside his father at their gas and tire repair shop. In 1972, Jimmy brought the business "Crescent Tire" to the White Horse Pike and expanded the business into a tire and auto repair facility. Through the years, his wife, son, and daughter also worked at the family business and relocated to downtown Hammonton. He took much pride in having a family run business. Jimmy's love of his hometown showed through his many lifelong friends and customers. You were always able to catch Jimmy hanging out at the garage sharing stories with his friends and customers or at the games watching his grandsons play soccer and baseball. He was an avid hunter and harvested a NJ state record deer. Hunting was a hobby that he loved sharing with the boys in his life. He was also a former member of the Sons of Italy Lodge 1658.
Predeceased by his son, Jamie, and parents James and Shirley Crescenzo. Surviving are his loving wife of 48 years Rose H. (nee Caruso), two daughters, Christa Lynn McIntosh and her husband Shawn, Erika Lynn Hroncich and her husband Paul, and daughter in law, Carolyn Crescenzo, all of Hammonton, NJ. His sister Cindy Mento (the late Anthony Mento) of Hammonton, NJ. Loving grandfather of J.C. Crescenzo, P.J., Nico, and Tommy Hroncich, and Joseph McIntosh. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday 10:00 am at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish - St.Anthony of Padua Church 285 Rt. 206 Hammonton, NJ. Burial will follow at Greenmount Cemetery 124 S. First Rd. Hammonton, NJ. Arrangements entrusted to the Marinella Funeral Home 12 N. 3rd St,. Hammonton, NJ. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in his memory to Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital. 200 Trenton Rd.
