Jeanette DeFrancisco passed away November 11, 2012. She was born and raised in Hammonton, NJ where she lived all her life. She is the second youngest of nine children born to Matthew and Mary (Femino)DeFrancisco. Jeanette graduated from Hammonton High School and went on to work for William B. Kessler Clothing Company where she worked most of her life unitl retirement at age 65.
Jeanette was not content to sit at home and wanted to give back to the community, so she took the certified nurses aid course offered by Greenbriar Nursing Home and worked as a nurses aid there until retirement at age 72. She is remembered by many families of the patients at Greenbriar as being very caring and always bringing a smile to her patient's faces.
she is predeceased by her brothers and sisters - Angelena DeMarco, Catherine Maurone, Domenic DeFrancisco,Anna DeFrancisco, Rose Brown,Rita DeFrancisco, Anna DeFrancisco and Helen Gifford Couture Although Jeanette never married, she is surrounded and loved by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and loving cousins.
In her younger days she vacationed every summer in Atlantic City and was an avid beach goer and walked many miles on the Atlantic City boardwalk enjoying all it had to offer.
Her greatest joy was to take her nieces and nephews swimming every summer to all the local lakes and taking them on many ice cream excursions. She loves family and especially all the newest younger members who light up her face when they visit her at The Heritage.
Relatives and friends attended her viewing and funeral service on Thursday Nov. 15, 2012 at The Hammonton First Assembly of God Church 272 Rt 206 Hammonton. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery Hammonton. Arrangements entrusted to the Marinella Funeral Home, Hammonton.
