Jeffrey R. Smith, age 49 of Atco, passed away Sat. Nov. 20, 2010. at Univ. of Penna. Hospital. Born in Riverside, raised in Medford, he lived in Atco for the past 17 years. He worked for the HayGroup as the director of Worldwide Internet Service Group. He graduated from Shawnee High School where he lettered in football, wrestling and baseball and was inducted into Shawnees Athletic Hall of Fame this past October. Jeff enjoyed working on the Tiver Family Farm.He played baseball at Burlington County College and received his Bachelors degree from Rutgers University. He was the past president of Waterford Twp. Athletic Association and was the first coach to win a 10 year old district baseball title in 2003. He later went on to coach the South Jersey Young Guns Baseball with Pat Fisher. He was a member of the Blue Diamond Baseball Club. Jeff is survived by his wife Kathleen ( nee Wiegand ) 3 sons, Jeff, Jonathan and Justin. His parents Charles and Ann Smith of Lakeland Fla. Brother of Patty Arnwine ( Tom ), Glenn ( Beth ) Smith, Brain Smith, Bruce ( Sherry )Smith and Charles ( Angie ) Smith, Jr. His Mother in Law Elizabeth Wiegand of Medford Lakes, NJ brother in Law Bernie ( Debra ) Wiegand, sister in laws Donna ( Bill ) Stewart and Linda Wiegand. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Viewing Tues. 7:00 - 9:00pm at Christ the Redeemer Parrish Assumption Church 318 Carl Hasselhan Drive Atco. Mass Weds. 11:30am at church. Burial in Parkview Cemetery@ Historic Medford Village, Medford. Arrangements entrusted to the Marinella Funeral Home , Hammonton, NJ ( www.marinellafuneralhome.com) In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Smith Boys Education Fund.
