John A. Mangano, Sr. age 86 of Hammonton, NJ passed away Friday Sept. 27, 2013 at AtlantiCare Hospital in Pomona. Born and raised in Hammonton, John worked for over 35 years with the Atlantic City Electric Company and retired as a foreman in 1982. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. John was a member of the Hammonton Shade Tree Commission, he coached the Rice Hardware Little League Team and was a Boy Scout leader for Troop # 60 in Hammonton. John loved to play cards and watch the horse races. He is survived by his wife of over 60 years Dorothy (nee Butkowski ), 2 sons John A. Mangano, Jr. and his wife Susan and Michael L. Mangano, Sr. and his wife Joanne all of Hammonton. Loving Grandfather of Lindsey, Erin, Michael, Jr. and Deanna. Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Tues. evening 6:00 pm - 8:00pm and Wed. from11:30am - 12:30pm at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. 3rd St. Hammonton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wed. 1:00pm St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish - St. Joseph Church 3rd & French Streets Hammonton. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 124 S. First Rd.
