OLIVE,
Joseph A- 83, passed away peacefully at home August 25, 2016. He was born in Hammonton where he lived most of his life. He attended Hammonton schools and graduated from Hammonton High School in 1950. He then attended Camden Commercial School to obtain his accounting license. He worked in his profession until 2012 when he retired. He was well known in the community and involved in many activities. Joe was Past President of the St. John the Baptist Society. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus Pallotti Council 3471, having been past Grand Knight. He was a charter member of St. Vincent Pallotti General Assembly, having been Past Faithful Navigator. He worked with the Columbian Squires for 22 years, having been Chief Counselor with Don Bosco Circle 863. He served 3 times as State Chairman with the Columbian Squires. Joe was a former member of the St. Joseph's Parish Holy Name Society, St. Joseph's Parish Council, St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Ecumenical Church Council of Hammonton. Professionally, Joe was a member of AFTP of N.J., a State Society as a trustee, Past President of the local accountant society, a member of NATP and a member of the National Society of Accountants. He was also an Enrolled Agent with the IRS. Predeceased by his parents, Antonino and Josephine Olive, Sister Marie Tassone and an infant brother. Joe is survived by his wife Barbara, children Joseph and his wife Gretchen and Jennifer. He will be sadly missed be his grandchildren, Grace and Joseph. Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Sunday 6:30pm - 9:00pm at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. 3rd St. Hammonton, NJ. No Monday viewing. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00am St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish - St. Joseph Church 3rd & French Streets Hammonton, NJ. Burial will follow in Greenmount Cemetery 124 S. First Rd. Hammonton, NJ. Donations can be made in his memory to the St Vincent de Paul Society, St Jude Children's Hospital in Tennessee or the Filippini Sisters at St. Joseph's Convent at 219 N 3rd Street in Hammonton N.J.
