Joseph Di Meo Sr. age 100 of Lumberton, passed away November 17, 2011 at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly. Born in Hammonton, he owned Vincentown Diner from 1953 to 1969. Joe owned JD's Snack and Dairy Bar and JD's Liquor store. He was a former member of Hammonton Knights of Columbus. Joe is predeceased by his parents Nancy and Frank DiMeo, his brothers Frank, Michael Anthony, and William, his sisters Jenny and Millie and his grandson Joseph. Surviving are his sons David of Medford, NJ. and Joseph and his wife Rebecca of Bowie, Md. Brother in law of Ruth DiMeo of Hammonton and grandfather of Lisa Thatcher. Great-grandfather of Sarah, Julia and Anna Thatcher. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday evening 6-9pm and Saturday 9-10am with services at 10am at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third St. Hammonton. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery Hammonton. Donations may be made to Lighthouse Hospice 1040 N. Kings Highway, Suite 100 Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. ( www.marinellafuneralhome.com)
