Joseph L. Ialacci age 97 of Hammonton, NJ and formerly of Bonita Springs, FL passed away on Monday April 19, 2021, peacefully at home. He was the devoted husband of the late Sylvia Ialacci (nee Beenau). Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Louis and Lena Ialacci.
Mr. Ialacci served in the Army Air Force as a Sergeant during World War II, stationed in Normandy, North Apennines, Northern France, PO Valley, Rhineland, and Southern France. He was awarded the Distinguished Unit Badge with OLC, European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal, along with the Good Conduct Medal. Mr. Ialacci also received the E.A.M.E. Ribbon and many Bronze Battle Stars. He worked for many years as a manager in the Engineering Department for New Jersey Bell Telephone. In retirement, Mr. Ialacci enjoyed golfing, bowling, and traveling the country with his family. Mr. Ialacci was a devoted father and family man. Surviving is his loving daughter Suzanne, his niece Erin Joyce and nephew Patrick Joyce as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Ialacci was preceded in death by his sisters Mary Monastra, Rita Graziano and Anna Spadacinni. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel-St. Anthony's Church 285 Rt. 206 Hammonton, NJ 08037, Saturday May 1, 2021 at 10 a.m.
Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Mary of Mount Carmel Parish 226 French St. Hammonton, NJ 08037.
