Josephine "Pina" age 84 of Hammonton, passed away Sunday March 22, 2015. Pina was born in Sicily and arrived in America in 1955. She worked as a hand sewer for many local clothing companies including W.B. Kessler and Castleford. She retired in 1993 after 25 years of service. She was also a member of St. Joseph Church Altar Rosary Society. Pina enjoyed the casinos, cooking, baking and spending time with her family and friends.
Pina is survived by her husband Frank "Pepe" and her son Charles both of Hammonton. Sister to Michael (Concetta) Buono and Rosa (Pietro) Drago of Sicily, Italy. Sister in law to Rosa Buondonno of Hammonton. Pina is also predeceased by her brother Frank Buono. Also surviving are her niece Maria Rosa (Michael) Higgins and her children Francesca, Shannon and Michael Dean.
Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Friday 7-9pm and Saturday 8:30-9:30am at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. 3rd St. Hammonton. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday 10:00am at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish-St. Joseph Church 3rd & French St. Hammonton. Burial in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Hammonton.(marinellafuneralhome.com)
