Juan 'Johnny' Cruz

Juan "Johnny" Cruz, age 73 of Little Egg Harbor Twp., NJ, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2020 at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Galloway, NJ. Johnny was born in Morovis, Puerto Rico, raised in New York City, NY, and later moved to Little Egg Harbor Township where he has resided since the 70s. He loved tinkering with electronic devices and repairing cars. He had an avid love for musical instruments and taught himself how to play the guitar, drums, trombones, and others. He is predeceased by his parents, Victor Cruz, stepdad Enrique Mendoza (who raised him), and Aurea Mendoza. He is also predeceased by his brother Enrique, Jr. and sister Mary Hunter. He is survived by his companion Eleanor Hayes, and his sisters, Carmen Clark of Galloway, NJ, Aida Purdy of Tuckerton, NJ, and Maria Martinez and her husband Jerry of Hammonton, NJ. He will be sadly missed by his family.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 9:00 - 11:00 A.M. with services at 11:00 A.M., all at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third St. Hammonton, NJ. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery 306 N. Green St., Tuckerton, NJ
