Julie Gerladina (nee Palmieri) age 88 of Hammonton passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 4, 2015. Born in Hammonton, Julie was a resident her entire life and a 1944 graduate of Hammonton High School. Julie and her husband Jim were proud owners of "Rodio Radio", WRDR. She was a past member of St. Joseph School PTA and Associates Sister St. Lucy Filippini. She made numerous rosary beads over the past many years for many local schools and Church organizations. Julie just completed making by hand 350 pair of rosary beads for the students of St. Joseph High School, exemplifying her devotion to the Blessed Mother, Julie was a devoted wife and mother. She loved baking and cooking for her family and friends. Julie is survived by her husband James N. "Jim" of Hammonton. Loving mother of Charles"Corky" Rodio of Hammonton, Carol Mongeluzzi of Villanova Pa., Gigi (John) DiDonato and Gina Rodio all of Hammonton. Loving grandmother of Devon and Andrew Mongeluzzi, Jessica and Leah Rodio and Zachary DiDonato.Julie is predeceased by her daughter Maryann, her parents Ralph and Nellie Palmieri and her siblings Polar, Rocky, Michael,Mildred and Lucy Palmieri, Anna DiMarino, Josephine Putiri, Mary Fichetola, Olga Annacone and Helen Caucci. Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Sunday eve. 6-9pm at Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third St. Hammonton. A viewing will be held Monday 9:30-11:00am at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel parish - St. Anthony of Padua Church 285 Rt#206, Hammonton. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00am at the Church. Burial will take place in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 124 S. First Road Hammonton. Donations may be made to Religious sisters of St. Joseph Convent 219 N. Third St. Hammonton, NJ 08037.
