Lena 'Adeline' Lagrotta

LaGrotta, Lena (nee Darcangelo) Age 94 formerly of Cedar Brook, NJ passed away February 24th at her daughters residence with her loving family by her side. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she moved from the city to her family's farm at a young age. She worked for many years as the cafateria lady at Edgewood Regional High School, where she is fondly remembered by many students. Predeceased by her husband, John, her grandson, Billy Flood, her brothers, Anthony, Rocco, Armand, Joseph, and Amerigo Darcangelo, and her sister, Emily O'Rourke. Surviving are her daughters, Janet Mazzeo (Jack) of Hammonton, and Eileen Flood of Hammonton, brother Vito Darcangelo (Catherine), and grandchildren John and Michael Mazzeo, Deanna Mazzeo-Shimborski (Adam), Brian and Brandon Flood, two beautiful great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Sunday (March 1st) evening from 6 PM to 9 PM, and Monday, from 9 AM to 10:30 AM, all at the Marinella Funeral Home, 102 N 3rd Street, Hammonton, NJ. Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, 11 AM at Saint Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish- St Joseph Church, 3rd and French Streets, Hammonton, NJ.
