Louis J. Berenato 94 of Hammonton passed away peacefully Monday February 27, 2017 at his home. He was born and raised in Hammonton, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Louie went on to be co-owner of Modern Electric in Hammonton and also worked for Colonial Electric. Louie was a former member of the Hammonton Lions Club where he served as president from 1966 - 1967. He is predeceased by his parents Frank and Mary Berenato, brothers Dominic and Joseph Berenato and sisters Jean Heck and Nancy Smedal. Surviving is his loving wife Mina ( nee Iuliucci ), two brothers Samuel Berenato (Marietta) of Wrightstown, NJ and John Berenato (Sally) of Somers Point, NJ. One sister, Anna Berenato of Dorothy, NJ. Loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday from 9:30am - 11:00am at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish - St. Joseph Church 3rd & French Streets Hammonton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am. Entombment in Greenmount Cemetery 124 S. First Rd. Hammonton.
