Lucy Piason

Lucy Piason (nee Platanella) age 94 of Winslow, NJ passed away peacefully September 27th, 2019 at the Samaritan Center in Voorhees. Born in Hammonton, Lucy and her husband Frank worked side by side on their farm in Winslow. She was a devoted wife and mother, an excellent cook, and a go-to for family and friends for all cooking advice. Lucy was also involved with Winslow PTA.
She is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Mary, her husband, Frank F. Piason, five brothers, Joseph Jr., Anthony, Edward, Vincent, and John Platanella and three sisters, Mary Grasso, Frances Platanella, and Nellie Boggio.
Lucy is survived by her three children, Frank J. Piason (Christos Lemonedes) of Pompano Beach, FL,  Richard A. Piason (Claire) of Solomons, MD, Cheryl L. Perkins (Kevin) of Stratford, NJ,  her sister Rose Moffa, three sisters-in-law Antoinette Christopher, Sylvia Olivo, and  Dolores Munson. Beloved grandmother of Nicole and Michelle Piason, and Brian Perkins and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Tuesday October 1st from 9:00am-11:00am at the Marinella Funeral Home, 102 N. Third St. Hammonton, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30am at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish - St. Joseph Church, 3rd & French Streets Hammonton, with burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 124 S.
