Margaret "Peggy" (nee Mazza) Puleo-Doyle, age 70 of Hammonton, passed away Sat. April 25, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Born in Hammonton she was a resident all her life. Peggy was a graduate of St. Joseph High School, St. Francis College and Glassboro State where she received her Masters in Education. She retired as a teacher from Vineland Public Schools after over 40 years of service. She was named teacher of the year during the 1980's . Peggy was a member of the Atlantic County 4-H Fair Assoc., Kessler Hospital Aux., Kate Aylesford Chapter of the DAR, St. Joseph Altar Rosary Society and St. Joseph Choir. A member of Hammonton Historical Society, Hammonton First and St. Anthony of Padua Church. Peg was appointed and served on the Enviromental and Historical Commissions for the Town of Hammonton. Peggy is predeceased by her parents Frank and Frances(Trendel) first husband Joseph Puleo , brother Chip Mazza and niece Nicole Mazza. Surviving are her husband Bob Doyle of Hammonton, daughter Dr. Joanne Puleo of CA.,her sister Marie Mazza and her brothers Leon (Maudie), Buddy, Jack (Mooneen), Steward (Lois), Bobby (Ann Marie) and Bill (Debbie) Mazza. Peggy is also survived by her aunt Marie Kulp, many loving cousins, nieces and nephews and faithful dog Rocky .Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Wednesday 9:00-11:00 am at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third St. Hammonton. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am at St. Anthony of Padua Church Rt#206 Hammonton, NJ 08037. Burial will be private.
