PENZA,
Margaret "Peggy" of Hammonton, NJ went home to be with the Lord Sunday November 15, 2015. She was a devoted wife of the late Carmine Penza, who passed away February 2000 and daughter of the late Mr.& Mrs. Joseph Colucci. Peggy as she was known by her family and friends was born in Phila. PA, but lived all her life in Hammonton, NJ. She graduated from Hammonton High School in 1942 and worked for an Insurance Firm in the P.F.F.S. building in Phila. Mrs. Penza was a past committee woman for the Hammonton Republican Club and also worked the polls. She was a leader of the group called the Blue Birds, which consisted of young girls doing kind things for others, her daughter Diana was a part of that group. Peggy enjoyed getting together with her classmates & was instrumental in organizing the class reunions, which they always had a great turn out. Peggy was a volunteer for the outreach program for St. Joseph Church and also St. Vincent de Paul and was very pleased to receive a letter of appreciation from Fr. Lou. Mrs. Penza made a visit to Heritage House, Inova and to many people who were ill and needed assistance. She could always get them to smile and her laugh was heartwarming. She also enjoyed reading, watching tv and old movies, talking to friends and family, cooking and baking, and gardening. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Peggy is survived by her children, Son Richard and wife Marlene, daughter Diana and her husband Geoffrey Gentile and son Chuck. Her Grandchildren Richard (Helena ) Penza, Kristina Raio and Margaret Gentile. Greatgrandmother of Oliva and Richard Penza, III and Dominick Raio, III. Peggy is survived by her sisters, Kathryn Orth, Florence Roccia, Mildred DelGuerico, Doris Morganweck and Alice Emar. There is no need to idealize her in death. She was a great lady and an inspiration to all of us.. We want to remember her the ways she lived. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
