Maria Carayianni

Maria Carayianni (nee Sagias) age 91 of Hammonton, NJ passed away Friday July 30, 2021 at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees, NJ. She was born and raised in Athens Greece and moved to Hammonton in 1971. She worked for William B. Kessler Clothing Company for 12 years than retired from Whitehall Labs after 15 years of service. Maria was a member of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America.
Maria is predeceased by her parents Haralabos and Sophia Sagias.
Surviving is her daughter Georgia LaMazza and her husband Cosimo of Hammonton, NJ and a sister Amalia Vakalopou of Athens Greece.
She is the loving grandmother of Gaetano LaMazza (Yadira) and Maria Cassetta (Anthony) and great grandmother of Brandon and Ryan LaMazza, Isabella and Mathew Cassetta.
Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Tuesday from 10:00 -11:00am at St. Anthony Greek Orthodox Church 430 W. Wheat Road Vineland, NJ. Funeral services will start at 11:00am. Entombment will be in Greenmount Cemetery 124 S. 1stRd. Hammonton, NJ.
