Michael Eugene Mccabe

Michael Eugene McCabe, age 62 of Hammonton, NJ (Born on August 25, 1955 in Philadelphia) suddenly passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018  at Atlantic Care Hospital in Atlantic City. His wife and children were at Michael's bedside when the Lord called him home. Michael was an avid Philadelphia sports fan; however the 76'ers held a special place in his heart. Michael made friends everywhere he went (I mean, literally EVERYWHERE he went). He truly enjoyed talking and learning about others. Michael was very proud of his involvement with the Masons and was a student of the Civil War. Michael retired from the City of Atlantic City, after 30+ years of employment. His last position in Atlantic City was that of Boardwalk Inspector, which he called a dream job. Michael went by many names, Mike, Mikey, Yoda, Homer, Skipper, Ambassador of Atlantic City, Pop-Pop, but his favorite name was Dad. Michael will be dearly missed by his wife of 40 years Debra McCabe; his daughter Kara (Jerry) Barker, his sons' Joseph McCabe, and Michael McCabe; additionally Michael leaves behind six grandchildren, Crystal, Thomas, Brayden, Jackson, Brooklyn, and Rowan. Michael also leaves sisters, brothers, in-laws, nieces and nephews. Michael will be remembered by his outgoing warm nature, big smile, and his zest for life.
