Michael F. Perrone, age 74 of Hammonton, passed away January 21, 2018 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Camden surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Camden and was a resident of Hammonton and Millinocket, Maine. Mike proudly served as a Petty Officer and Radioman in the US Navy during Vietnam. He owned and operated M.F. Perrone Survey Supply and Atlantic Industrial Wood Products for 33 years and was a member of the New Jersey Society of Professional Land Surveyors. He was a member of the Hutton Hill Rifle and Revolver Club of Winslow Twp., Tin Can Sailors, NRA, and National Association of Destroyer Veterans. Mike was a past president (1987-88) and member of Hammonton High School Band Boosters. He coached and volunteered for Hammonton Little League softball for 13 years and also coached the St. Joseph High School softball team from 1992-1995. Mike enjoyed many hobbies and pastimes, including coin collecting, spending time at the shooting range, and being a Ham radio operator. He had a passion for music and was an avid collector of Navy memorabilia. Mike loved traveling, times spent with his family, reconnecting with his classmates from St. Joseph class of 1961 and cheering on his seven beloved grandkids from the audience or sidelines. He especially loved spending time at his camp in Maine.Mike is predeceased by his wife Marlene (Nee Bossi) and parents Michael and Rose. He is survived by his daughters Michele (Mike) DiBona of Millinocket, ME, Marla (Greg) Kettinger of Phila., PA, Michaelina (Sam) Gonzalez of Mason, Ohio and Monica (Jimmy) Newton of Hammonton. Proud and loving grandfather of Michael and Mark DiBona, Gianna and Sammy Gonzalez and Leah, Lily, and Ben Newton. Dear brother of Pellegrino Perrone, Rita Perrone and Josephine (Michael) Phillips. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members.Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation Friday evening 6-8pm and Saturday morning 9:30-10:30am at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third St. Hammonton. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday 11:00am at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish-St. Joseph Church 3rd & French Sts. Hammonton. Burial will be private.
