Paul A. Celona

Paul A. Celona, age 94 of Hammonton, NJ peacefully passed away on Wednesday June 12, 2024.

Paul was born and raised in Hammonton, NJ and worked at Cresci Motors in Vineland for over 30 years and Arena’s in Hammonton. Paul loved gardening and meeting the guys at the diner every Tuesday and Thursday for over 30 years. He especially loved spending the winters in Florida and going to the horse races. He was also an avid Philadelphia sports fan and looked forward to watching the games. Most of all he loved being with his family and spending time with his granddaughters and great granddaughters who were the light of his life.

He was predeceased by his parents Louis and Josephine Celona, and his loving wife Josephine (nee Macrie) of 53 years. Paul is survived by his daughter Sandra Salvati and her husband Robert, grandchildren Alyssa DeSorte (Francis), and Allison Preim (Adam), and great-grandchildren Addyson and Avery Preim. He is also survived by his sister Rita Cramer (Rodney), sister in law Frances Catrambone, brother in law Rocco Dandrea, and his aunt Anna Berenato, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Wednesday June 19, 2024 from 10am -12pm at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third St. Hammonton, NJ 08037. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30pm at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish-St. Joseph Church corner of French and Third St. Hammonton, NJ 08037. Entombment will follow at Greenmount Cemetery 124 S. First Rd Hammonton, NJ 08037.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul’s memory to the Hammonton Cancer Foundation.
