Paula C. Jacobs (nee DeLuca) age 92, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023.
Paula was born in and raised Hammonton and graduated from Hammonton High School. She worked as a secretary for Jacobs Manufacturing, Hammonton Realty, and the Hammonton Elementary School. Paula was a member of the Altar Rosary Society at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish and the Associates of St. Lucy Filippini “ASLF”. She was a member of the Hap Brander’s String Band where she played the piano. Paula enjoyed canning vegetables, making homemade jellies, and her amazing blueberry buckle and tomato sauce. She was also great seamstress.
She is predeceased by her husband John D. Jacobs, parents Mariano and Anne (nee D’Agostino) DeLuca, her brother Carmen DeLuca, sister Gloria Taylor and brother in law Jules Taylor, sister in law and brother in law Julia and Anthony Marino, sister in law Teresa Ricca, brother in law Joseph Giacoppo, and sister in law and brother in law Mary and Cosmo Ricca.
Paula is survived by her children Jack “John” Jacobs (Ann Pinchak) and Carolyn Jacobs (Jake), and her sisters Maria Marino and Elaine Fisher (Ron). She is the loving grandmother to Max Maloney-Jacobs (Katherine), Sara Jacobs, and Francesca Jacobs.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Wednesday, July 12, 2023 from 9:30 – 11:00am at the St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish-St. Joseph Church corner of French and Third St. Hammonton, NJ 08037. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am with burial to follow in Greenmount Cemetery 124 S 1st Rd. Hammonton, NJ 08037.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish 226 French St. Hammonton, NJ 08037
