Rose Etta J. Caponigro (nee Salvatore) age 94 of Hammonton, passed away Thursday June 2, 2011 at AtlantiCare Hospital in Atlantic City. Born in Hammonton, she was a lifelong resident. Rose Etta retired from National Garment as a seamstress and was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union of America. Rose Etta was a tremendous cook who often shared her culinary dishes with family and friends. She took great pride in her grandchildren. Rose Etta was also a skilled seamstress and an avid gardener. She was always beautifully dressed and had a flair for fashion. One cannot forget how much she enjoyed the Philadelphia Eagles. Rose Etta was a true giver who always put herself second. She is predeceased by her son Anthony R. Curreri, her parents Domenic and Rose Salvatore, her brothers Fred and Domenic Salvatore and her sisters Celeste Clements and Marie Fallucca. Surviving are her children Frank Curreri and his wife Judy of Winlsow Twp. and Rose Ann Esposito and her husband Ron of Folsom. Dear sister of Elizabeth Vettese of Hammonton. Loving grandmother of Sharon Italiano, Toni Lynn Ayers, Frank and Anthony Curreri and Tracy and Tara Esposito and great-grandmother of Nina, Nicholas and Frankie Italiano.

8:30 am at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third St. Hammonton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish St. Martin de Porres Church Park Ave. and South Egg Harbor Rd. Hammonton. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hammonton Rescue Squad 300 S. Egg Harbor Rd. Hammonton, NJ 08037.
