Roy Thomas Bernard

Roy Thomas Bernard of Egg Harbor City passed away at age 68 at Our Lady's Residence in Pleasantville on August 20, 2016. Born in Hartford, Connecticut in 1947, Roy attended St. Nicholas Elementary School in Egg Harbor City and graduated from Oak Crest Regional High School in 1965. He also was in the Air Force National Guards and served in Vietnam. Roy worked in production and shipping at Whitehall
Laboratories for 30 years until the closing of the plant. Later he enjoyed making hand-crafted pine furniture which he sold at area craft shows. Roy leaves behind his wife Patricia (nee Tassone), and his son Sean Bernard of Pitman, NJ. He was predeceased by his brother Roger, mother Mildred, his father Marcel Bernard and his first wife Maureen McAndrews Bernard. He had an active life fishing off of his boat, hunting and playing pool in area leagues. Private services are entrusted to the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. 3rd St. Hammonton, NJ.
